25 things I like about myself

As part of my Fascinating Womanhood experiment, I need to list 25 things I like about myself. I’ve stashed the list here because it’s as good a way as any for you to get to know me better 🙂

1. I’m acceptable in God’s sight because of Christ’s finished work on the cross. Without Him, there’d be nothing to like!
2. I’m creative and full of ideas.
3. I’m a good daughter.
4. I’m an increasingly better daughter-in-law.
5. I’m a fun sister, to my literal brother and to all my brothers and sisters in Christ.
6. I’m a loving wife.
7. I’m a loyal friend.
8. I really, genuinely listen to people.
9. I’m skilled with words and languages.
10. I’m a perfectionist (this can be a good thing, especially for editorial nit-picking!).
11. I have an artistic eye.
12. I’m pretty smart (and humble too, ha ha).
13. I stick to what I start.
14. I am dependable and reliable.
15. I can laugh at myself/I don’t take myself too seriously.
16. I’m a peacemaker/good mediator.
17. I’m willing to try new things.
18. I’m a good team player. (Why does that sound like a snippet from a CV?)
19. I’m also quite content with my own company/I don’t easily get bored.
20. I’m good with animals.
21. I’m usually willing to change when I see I’m wrong.
22. I’m a good baker and a fairly good cook.
23. I’m adept at creating balance in my life.
24. I know my principles and beliefs.
25. I’m not afraid of growing old; I love each stage of life as I live through it.
